The Pacific Beach Town Council (PBTC), with close to 500 members, was established in 1953. Its basic mission, building a better community, fostering cooperative efforts among local businesses and residents, providing a forum for community concerns, appropriate government agencies, is carried out by a 17 member elected Board of Directors.
The Town Council's primary focus is taking action on community issues, as well as continuing to monitor the maintenance and improvement of Mission Bay Park. Community issues addressed recently by the Town Council include: beautification efforts, alcohol awareness issues, public art, migrant related issues, assistance for local schools, library funding, police projects, political forums, and the continued revitalization of the business district.
The general meeting is held on the third Wednesday of the month
at the Taylor Library located at 4275 Cass Street at 7 PM.
